2025 Festival T-Shirt Design & Contest Info

For the 2025 Jones County Heritage Festival, the official t-shirt design was selected through a new and exciting process - a youth T-Shirt Design Contest. We received 12 creative submissions from young artists ranging in age from 6 to 14.

This year’s winning design was created by Ellie C., who submitted multiple entries. The committee was especially drawn to this design and selected it to represent this year’s festival.

What inspired your t-shirt design submission for the 16th Annual Jones County Heritage Festival T- Shirt Design Contest? JONES COUNTY HERITAGE FESTIVAL unearthing our past cultivating the future ELLIE C. | AGE 11 The inspiration for my shirt design came from family trips to watch the sunset over the tobacco field behind the elementary school. I also really like the pretty flowers on the tobacco plant. We sometimes saw tractors plowing the field. Whenever I go out of Jones County I don't see as many as l do in Jones County. So that's why I chose the tobacco plant and the tractor to represent Jones County. www.jcheritagefestival.com/merch
